Mr. Malik Saulebay, Director General of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandard), and his delegation visited the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China in March. Dr. QU Jifeng, Vice Director General of NIM, met with Saulebay and the delegation. A director from the Department of Metrology of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) attended the meeting.
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Qu stated that KazStandard is one of NIM’s valued partners. Under the guidance of SAMR, NIM looks forward to more personnel exchanges and experience-sharing activities with KazStandard, promoting technical cooperation in metrology between the two countries. The director from SAMR indicated that SAMR will continue to support cooperation between NIM and KazStandard.
Mr. Saulebay stressed the vital role of metrology in trade, health, safety and the environment, and acknowledged that the visit will boost the bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on cooperation across multiple fields. Mr. Saulebay and the delegation also visited NIM’s laboratories in electricity, flow, ionizing radiation, etc.
