The hybrid joint workshop of the APMP Climate Change and Clean Air Focus Group (CCCAFG), and TCQM Gas Analysis Working Group was held in Zhengzhou, China from July 22 to 24, 2024.
Reports on climate change, greenhouse gas and pollutant measurement, and gas analysis were made by metrologists from Asia-Pacific countries including Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Russia, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Experts from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the BIPM, NIST of the U.S., NPL of the U.K., and PTB of Germany were also invited to give talks at the workshop.
The participants visited NIM Zhengzhou Branch on Precision Measurement of GHGs and Air Pollutants after the workshop.
This workshop benefited all the participants by enhancing their measurement capabilities and international partnerships through the exchange of approaches and best practices for accurate carbon emissions measurement.
