Dr. QU Jifeng

Dr. QU Jifeng is the Vice Director of National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China and a senior researcher of NIM.

Dr. QU has a profound and fruitful research experience, leading or participating in some 20 R&D projects, with a record of some 50 refereed scientific publications, and two National Science and Technology Progress Awards (the top science award of China).

Prior to his current position, Dr. QU has held a number of managerial positions, including the Director of Center for Advanced Measurement Science (Division of Life Science Metrology) of NIM, Vice Director of Nano-Dimension and New Materials Metrology Division, and Vice Director of Thermophysics Metrology Division, successively.

Dr. QU is a newly-elected member of the CIPM, a member of the CODATA Fundamental Physical Constants Task Group (TGFC) and of the CCT Task Group on Emerging Technologies. Domestically, he is a member of the National Technical Committee on Standardization of Quantum Computing and Measurement. And he is a doctoral supervisor of Tong Ji University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

In his capacity as NIM’s Vice Director, Dr. QU oversees Department of International Cooperation, Department of Human Resources, Department of Technical Support and Laboratory Condition Maintenance. He works as the Director Board’s liaison with Division of Dimensional Metrology, Division of Thermophysics Metrology, Division of Chemical Metrology and Analytical Sciences, Center for Advanced Measurement Science, and Center for Environmental Metrology.
