NIM and Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, CAS Signed a Cooperation Agreement on Science and Technology

NIM and the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, CAS (hereinafter referred to as the "Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics") signed a cooperation agreement on science and technology at the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics. Fang Xiang, Director of NIM, and Liu Maili, Director of the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, signed the cooperation agreement. Bai Chunli, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Keqiang, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and responsible persons of relevant departments of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, NIM and Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, witnessed the signing.
 
At the signing ceremony of the agreement, Bai Chunli expressed that NIM had prominent strength in the field of precision measurement. The signing of the cooperation agreement on science and technology between the two institutes is a practical action to implement the important instructions of "breaking the peripheral walls of various courtyards" put forward by President Xi Jinping, an important beginning of the joint establishment of an institute of precision measurement and technological innovation. He hoped that both parties would strictly implement the spirit of the agreement, and strive to occupy a leading position in the international competition of science through sincere cooperation and strong alliance.

According to the agreement, NIM and the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics will conduct cooperation in aspects of cutting-edge research in international precision measurement technologies, research and development of national quality infrastructure technologies, construction of national base of scientific and technological innovation, transformation and application of scientific achievements, high-level talent cultivation, and high-standard academic exchange.
