Calibration and Metrology Technology of Infrared Remote Sensing

The calibration and metrology technology of infrared remote sensing laboratory was jointly built by NIM and Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Aiming at the infrared remote sensing calibration and measurement technology, the vacuum radiance temperature standard facility (VRTSF) is established by Joint Laboratory of Calibration and Metrology Technology of Infrared Remote Sensing. The calibration technology and method of the infrared remote sensor are investigated.

The Lab provides various technical services for weather satellites, resource and ocean satellites, etc., underpins the development of space remote sensing technology.
