The theme for World Metrology Day 2020 is Measurements for Global Trade. In fact, metrology, from the weights and measurements in ancient China, were born out of trade and evolves with trade. Today, digitalization is changing the way people engage in trade, but metrology still supports trade, ensuring its equity and efficiency.
