PM10/PM2.5 Mass Concentration Measurement

In this study, effect of filter types, weighting procedures, procedures for filter conditioning and loss of semi volatiles on the final results are evaluated and taken into account for final result. Meanwhile, impact cut-off property of PM10/PM2.5 sampler can be calibrated by establishing a curve of penetration and aerodynamic diameter.

 

Recently, the laboratory has been involved in development of reference methods for PM10 and PM2.5 mass concentration measurement, which is based on manual weighing of filters. In this study, effect of filter types, weighting procedures, procedures for filter conditioning and loss of semi volatiles on the final results are evaluated and taken into account for final result. Meanwhile, the impactor cut-off property of PM10/PM2.5 sampler can be calibrated by establishing a curve of penetration and aerodynamic diameter. Based on this work, an evaluating procedure of PM10/PM2.5 monitoring instruments will be developed by calibration standard compared with reference method.
