Fiber Comb

A femtosecond laser frequency comb based on an Er-doped fiber  laser is developed. The Er-doped fiber comb consists of an Er-doped fs fiber laser, a two-stage fiber amplifier, a highly nonlinear fiber and a single-beam f-2f interferometer. With optimized parameters, a carrier-envelope-offset frequency (f0) with an S/N ratio of 40 dB at 300 kHz RBW is obtained. Moreover, the repetition rate (fr) and the f0 of the Er-doper fiber comb are precisely stabilized for more than six days. The developed fiber comb in NIM is used for measuring the absolute frequency of the optical clock, generating microwave, and linking optical frequency of Sr lattice clock to microwave frequency of Cs fountain clock.
