Study of Broadband Mobile Communication Link Quality Evaluation

 

This project studies the impact of radio transmission channel multipath effects and delay expansion on bit error rate. In this project, RF parameters are measured and used for radio communication quality evaluation under complex environments. The project has solved the problem of qualitatively evaluating of communication links.

 

The project has developed:

(1) A pulse-like ultra-wideband wireless channel measurement system. The system can determine the 1GHz~18GHz channel transfer function and additional path loss, and can also measure channel impulse response function and power-delay distribution.

(2) A multisine signal generation system: the system can generate multisine signals with a bandwidth of up to 20MHz, center frequency covering 800MHz~2.4GHz frequency bands, which are commonly used for mobile communications. Besides, it can generate multisine signals to simulate CDMA standard signal by feedback predistortion methods.
