Verification/Calibration for Low-level Dissolved Oxygen Meters

Faraday Electrolysis Standard Device is specifically designed to verify/calibrate the Dissolved Oxygen (DO) meter whose measurement range is 0mg/L to 100mg/L. The standard device of this project is based on Faraday electrolysis law and consists of background DO handle system, Faraday electrolysis system, flow control system, water flow meter, system DO electrode and industrial computer, etc. The measurement range is 0mg/L to 100mg/L. The expanded uncertainty is 5mg/L (k=3). This standard device has met demands of JJG1060-2010 Verification Regulation of Low-level Dissolved Oxygen Meters.

The measurement range of low-level dissolved oxygen meter is 0µg/L to 100µg/L. In fields of electricity, nuclear power, hydrogen power, electronics, chemical, medical and biological, low-level dissolved oxygen (DO) meters are widely used in on-line monitor and control for water processing. If the low-level DO meter in use is accurate and reliable, energy can be saved, corrosion of boilers and pipes can be prevented and safety of operation and manufacture can be ensured. In 2010, China promulgated JJG1060-2010 Verification Regulation of Low-level Dissolved Oxygen Meters, specifically for measuring DOs in water ranged from 0mg/L to 100mg/L. The DO meters are divided in two classes, A and B. NIM¢s Faraday Electrolysis Standard Device for Low-level dissolved is specifically designed to verify/calibrate low-level DO meters, the range of standard device is 0µg/L to 100µg/L, with an uncertainty of 5µg/L(k=3). It has filled the blank for the nation, and has been applied for one patent for invention.

Until now, the standard device provided customers with verification/calibration services for more than 80 times. The customs include Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Company Ltd., Fuzhou Light Water Science and Technology Ltd., Quanzhou Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspection Center, etc.
