High Precision Gauge Block Comparator

 

This project developed a high precision gauge block comparator with double probes. It reaches international advanced level with an indicating error of ±(0.02mm+0.002r) within a range of (0.5~100)mm, where r is the indicated value. It has filled the technical blank for the nation. The gauge block comparator complies with the relevant international recommendation. Its technical specifications reached international advanced level.

 

This project develops a new gauge block comparator using  double probes (an upper probe and a lower one) measurement mode recommended by national gauge block standards. The technique used to be a blank in China.

 

The double probes measurement has two modes: one is that the probe movement is controlled by pneumatic unit, when the gauge blocks enters or comes out of the measurement table, the probe is retracted, when no gauge blocks or gauge blocks are well placed, the probe protruded. Now this type of sensors relies on import; the other mode is that the lower probe fixed and (1~3)μm above the measurement table, the upper probe can be automatically pulled up or down. This type of sensors are mainly domestic products.
