APLMF-APMP Joint Symposium on “Metrology for Economic and Social sustainability” held in Beijing Jointly organized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), the APLMF-APMP Joint Symposium on “Metrology for Economic and Social Sustainability” was held at NIM’s Changping Campus in Beijing on 13-15 December 2011. Representatives of Member Economies of the two Organizations were the major participants of the Symposium. Delegates from Chinese metrological circle and relevant government agencies at provincial and municipal level were also present at the meeting. 14 key note speakers representing international or regional organizations such as CIML, CIPM, BIML, APLMF, APMP, UNIDO, etc, and some member economies gave talks on global challenges related to metrology.
